SALT LAKE CITY — An alleged victim is suing the Utah school district that hired a teacher accused of having sexual relationships with three students.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1EA10B1) that a lawsuit was filed by one of those students in March.

The 35-year-old Brianne Altice is facing 14 felony charges, including rape, sodomy, sexual abuse and sex with a minor.

The lawsuit claims the Davis County School District was negligent in hiring and employing the former Davis High School English teacher.

The former student also claims the school didn't properly supervise her, as Altice was once reprimanded for "inappropriate contact."

The student is suing for at least $674,000 in damages.

Altice is in jail.

Bail was revoked after she reportedly had sex with the third victim after her 2013 arrest.
