Wilmington police arrest 3 teens in Saturday slaying of man during apparent robbery

WILMINGTON, Delaware — Wilmington police have arrested three male teenagers in a fatal shooting over the weekend.

Department spokesman Cpl. Mark Ivey says a 15-year-old tried to rob 32-year-old Jason Turner of Wilmington on Saturday morning. During the course of the robbery, police say teen shot Turner, and two teen accomplices tried to help cover it up.

Police found Turner in a nearby residence Saturday. He died later at a hospital.

The three teens were arrested later Saturday. They were in custody Sunday night, awaiting arraignment.

The 15-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder, robbery and other weapons charges. Two other teens have been charged with evidence tampering, possessing a firearm, making a false statement and probation violations.
