HARDEEVILLE, South Carolina — Authorities say two people died and three were hurt when a truck flipped during a heavy rainstorm on Interstate 95 in southern South Carolina.
Local media outlets report it happened late Monday afternoon in Hardeeville when a truck carrying five men flipped on the wet highway.
Authorities say 27-year-old Juventino Gonzales Reyes and 22-year-old Omar Bustamante Juarez, both of Ridgeland, died in the accident.
Jasper County Coroner Martin Sauls says the men were thrown from the truck.
One of the three injured was admitted to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, while the other two were treated and released.
