WEST COLUMBIA, South Carolina — Amazon.com is hiring 500 fulltime workers at its fulfillment center in Lexington County.
Commerce officials and Gov. Nikki Haley's office said in news releases Tuesday that the Seattle-based company would be making the hires at its West Columbia facility.
The fulfillment center opened in 2012. Since then, state officials say the facility has expanded, and Amazon is adding the new jobs to meet increasing consumer demand to pick, pack and ship orders.
Employees will be immediately eligible for benefits including health insurance and 401(k). Interested candidates can apply at http://www.workatamazonfulfillment.com .
