CHARLESTON, West Virginia — Veterans and active duty military personnel will receive discounted rates at West Virginia State Parks.
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources and the West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance says the program will give a year-round 10 percent discount on all standard lodge rooms, cabins and campsites.
Additional discounts and offers for veterans and military personnel may be offered seasonally. In 2015, veterans and active duty military personnel also are extended free swimming at any outdoor pool at a West Virginia state park during the open season.
Active duty military personnel may present their Common Access Card to qualify, while veterans can present their West Virginia driver's license with a veteran designation to receive the discount on rooms, cabins or camp site rentals.
