Authorities say body found likely that of missing 55-year-old hunter

ROYAL CITY, Washington — Authorities say a body believed to be that of a 55-year-old missing hunter has been found in central Washington.

KHQ reports ( http://bit.ly/1HnOkQT ) the body was found Wednesday morning west of Royal City. Thomas Mark Stieg had been missing since November 20th.

While an official cause of death has not been determined, the Grant County Sheriff's office says it appears Stieg fell. There is no indication of foul play.

Stieg was last seen a few miles south of Highway 26. Stieg left home early on Friday morning for a one-day hunt. His vehicle was located. His family says Stieg was an experienced mountaineer and survivalist, as well as a former marine.
