DETROIT — Police say an ATM was taken during a smash-and-grab theft at a Secretary of State branch in Detroit.
State police say a van drove through the front of the building on the city's northwest side about 3:30 a.m. Friday and the ATM was removed before those involved fled.
Troopers are seeking surveillance video from the building security system. It wasn't immediately known how much cash was in the machine.
Last month, the similar theft of an ATM from a Secretary of State office in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn left a building heavily damaged.
