WATSEKA, Illinois — An 18-year-old Iroquois County man has been charged with reckless homicide and reckless driving in a crash that killed another motorist and injured a young boy.

The (Kankakee) Daily Journal reported Tuesday (http://bit.ly/1uZ58G9 ) that Dakota Papineau of Watseka turned himself in to the Iroquois County sheriff's police after a grand jury returned an indictment last week.

Papineau was a minor when the crash occurred in July near Crescent City. Fifty-nine-year-old David A. Senesac of Watseka was killed and his 6-year-old grandson was severely injured.

Iroquois County State's Attorney Jim Devine says Papineau was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign and failure to yield the right of way.

An attorney for Papineau did not return a phone call from the newspaper seeking comment.
