Siblings traveling to Virginia Beach killed in crash with slaying suspect fleeing police

RICHMOND, Virginia — Virginia State Police have identified two victims of a suburban Richmond crash that also killed a suspect in two killings.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1Kv2hc4) reports that 65-year-old Wendell E. Hayman of Kansas City, Kansas, and his 66-year-old sister, Ethel D. Ellis of Washington, D.C., were killed Friday in a crash on Interstate 295 in Hanover County. The two were on their way to go camping in Virginia Beach.

Their car was struck by a sports car driven by Stafford L. Shaw Sr., who was fleeing a state trooper. He was also killed. Two others were injured.

Investigators believe Shaw had shot and killed his estranged girlfriend, 34-uyear-old Morgan R. Rogers, and her 1-year-old daughter, Leah. Their bodies were found Friday afternoon in their Chesterfield County home.
