PHOENIX — Three people have been rescued from their burning home in Phoenix and authorities say one of them has been taken to a hospital.

Phoenix Fire Department officials say the blaze was reported about 1 p.m. Friday at a house near 19th Avenue and Southern Avenue.

They say six adults were inside the home when the fire broke out and three of them managed to escape on their own.

Fire crews arrived within minutes after the alarm was sounded and quickly extinguished the blaze.

Authorities say a 25-year-old man was taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

Investigators say the fire appears to be electrical.
