GRAND FORKS, North Dakota — Fire officials in Grand Forks say one person was hospitalized after a fire in an apartment complex.
Crews arrived at the building on 10th Street just after 7 a.m. Sunday and encountered smoke in a third floor unit and one occupant needing medical attention. The person was taken to a local hospital but the extent of the injuries is not known.
Officials say the fire was out on arrival due to quick actions by another individual in the complex. Damage is estimated at $7,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
