NORTH CHARLESTON, South Carolina — Authorities say a customer in a North Charleston gas station was gunned down by another man inside the store over a drug deal.

Investigators told local media outlets that 34-year-old Kenneth Robinson died a short time after the shooting around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Clerks inside the store say a man walked up to Robinson and shot him, then walked out and got into a car and drove away. The Exxon store is on Ashley Phosphate Road near Interstate 26.

Police say officers pulled over the car a short time later, and the woman driving said she dropped 23-year-old Montre Brown off nearly.

Authorities have obtained an arrest warrant for murder against Brown, who hasn't been caught.

Investigators say Brown was waiting for Robinson and was angry over a drug deal.
