BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut — Bridgeport police have identified a man who was killed in the city's 10th homicide of the year.
Police say 51-year-old Ivan Rodriguez Mendez died Saturday night after getting into a fight with one or more people. He was found lying in a pool of blood on Seeley Street.
No arrests have been announced.
Authorities say it's not clear if the victim was shot or stabbed. One suspect was reported to have a knife, while several gunshots were fired.
The chief medical examiner's office is expected to perform an autopsy Monday to determine the cause and manner of death.
Anyone with information about the killing is urged to call Bridgeport police.
