LARAMIE, Wyoming — The NCAA will not impose any sanctions on Wyoming for rules violations within its women's volleyball program.

In early 2013, Wyoming self-reported impermissible benefits provided by the former coaching staff to student-athletes and participation of a student manager as a practice player.

The infractions occurred under former coach Carrie Yerty, who resigned last year.

Wyoming provided additional training for coaches and vacated some volleyball team victories from 2009-12.

The NCAA's Division I Committee on Infractions determined that those actions were sufficient to address the violations.

UW Athletics Director Tom Burman says Wyoming expects to abide by the NCAA and Mountain West Conference rules and those expectations will not be compromised.
