HONOLULU — The median sales prices for Oahu single-family homes and condominiums decreased in February.

That's according to monthly resale statistics released Saturday by the Honolulu Board of Realtors.

The data shows that the median sales price for a single-family home in February was $648,000, a 4.6 percent decrease from the same month last year. The median price for a condo was $326,000, a 9 percent drop.

The number of sales last month increased for single-family homes but decreased for condos.

There were 201 single-family homes sold, which is nearly 6 percent more than during February 2014. There were 290 condos sold last month, which is 2 percent less than the same month last year.

Board President Jack Legal says February is traditionally one of the slowest months for real estate sales.
