GLASGOW, Scotland — Celtic was held to a 0-0 draw by last-place Ross County on Saturday but still provisionally extended its lead atop the Scottish Premiership to five points as Dundee United lost 2-1 at St. Johnstone.
Celtic has now dropped five points in the last two rounds after wasting a number of chances in an uninspiring performance. County nearly snatched an unlikely win when a low drive from Filip Kiss hit the post in the 84th.
Chris Millar gave St. Johnstone the win with a goal in the 86th minute to complete the hosts' comeback. Calum Butcher had put Dundee ahead in the 42nd, before Michael O'Halloran leveled in the 75th.
Celtic leads on 39 points from 18 games, with Dundee United and Aberdeen on 34. Aberdeen plays Inverness on Sunday.
