LEXINGTON, Tennessee — Authorities say a body recovered from Pine Lake in West Tennessee is that of a missing 25-year-old man who drowned.

The Jackson Sun (http://bit.ly/1KSw2Uk) reports the body of Bryant Price was recovered about 1 a.m. Monday. Authorities say Price was trying to swim across the lake Sunday near the designated swimming area when he went underwater and never resurfaced. Friends who were with Price say they tried to help him but couldn't.

Rescue crews and divers from Henderson, Chester and Decatur counties had been searching the lake since Sunday afternoon. Officials dragged the lake, using chains and hooks to scrape the bottom of the lake to find objects for divers to search.
