NEWARK, New Jersey — One man was killed and two people were wounded when shots rang out in Newark.
Police officers responding to reports of shots fired on North 9th Street in the city's Roseville section found the victims around 11 p.m. Friday.
Essex County prosecutors say 28-year-old city resident Andrew Peppers was pronounced dead early Saturday at a hospital. The two other victims — identified only as a man and a woman — were being treated there for wounds that were not considered life-threatening, but further details were not disclosed.
A motive for the shooting has not been determined, and further details on the incident were not disclosed.
No arrests have been made.
