COLUMBUS, Ohio — Computers, copiers and other electronics will be up for bid at an Ohio auction of government items.
The state auction scheduled for Saturday is at the General Division Services headquarters of the Ohio Department of Administrative Services in Columbus.
Tools, outboard motors and lawn mowers will be for sale, along with other equipment such as monitors, laptops, digital cameras, printers and computer parts.
The surplus property auctions allow the public to buy items at reduced prices and lets the state get back some of its initial investment.
Agencies declare property as surplus because it is damaged or at the end of its government use.
State officials say miscellaneous property and vehicle auctions generated more than $4.8 million during fiscal year 2014.
