KENNER, Louisiana — A Jefferson Parish fire dispatcher, who also served as treasurer of the Kenner Volunteer Fire Company, has been arrested for funneling more than $11,000 into her personal account.
Kenner Police Lt. Brian McGregor, in a news release Friday, said 36-year-old Amanda Monnerjahn, of Metairie, was booked Thursday for theft. Bond has not been set. It was unknown if she has an attorney.
KVFC President Michael Graffato asked for an investigation after he began seeing overdraft charges on two bank accounts.
Monnerjahn, who is married, admitted meeting a "male friend" recently. During their friendship, police said the man asked for money to buy a vehicle and other things, which she allegedly paid for using KVFC money without authorization.
