NORTH ADAMS, Massachusetts — Two Springfield residents are facing drug trafficking charges stemming from a traffic stop in North Adams.

Devron Wicks and Sasha Santiago pleaded not guilty at their arraignment Tuesday. Wicks was held on $100,000 bail while Santiago was held on $25,000 bail.

Prosecutors say police, acting on a tip, pulled over the suspects' vehicle at 11 p.m. Monday.

The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/1wUI4VI ) reports that a search of the car located a shoebox in the trunk containing a 20-gram rock of crack cocaine, two bags containing 98 grams of powder cocaine, a 16-gram brick of heroin, and 1,000 small bags of heroin.

The combined value of the drugs was about $20,000.

Authorities say a follow-up search of the Springfield apartment they shared turned up two stolen guns, more drugs and drug paraphernalia.
