WILMINGTON, North Carolina — Wilmington police say no charges will be brought against a man who shot and killed another man trying to rob him.
Police tell The StarNews of Wilmington that (http://bit.ly/1zCW3Th ) the man was justified in using force in shooting and killing 38-year-old Frankie Stukes last Saturday night.
Police say the man who owns a video poker business was walking to his car when he was approached by four men with guns who tried to rob him.
There was an exchange of gunfire and the man, who ran back inside his business, did not know he had hit anybody until police told him. Police have not released the man's identity.
But they say three other men face charges in the attempted robbery.
