Utah's unemployment rate stays at 3.5 percent; 59,000 new jobs in June from same month in 2014

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah's unemployment rate held steady at 3.5 percent last month.

The state Department of Workforce Services said Friday that Utah added about 59,000 new jobs in June from the same month in 2014.

While Utah's jobless rate was unchanged last month, the national rate fell two-tenths of a percent to 5.5 percent.
