RIVERSIDE, California — A tentative court ruling says decades-old agreements that give Los Angeles ownership of an airport in San Bernardino County are flawed but valid.

Riverside County Superior Court Judge Gloria Connor Trask says that Ontario's 1985 sale of Ontario International Airport to Los Angeles was done in an unauthorized manner.

However, she found in Thursday's proposed ruling that the statute of limitations for overturning the sale ended in 1989.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reported (http://bit.ly/1BiZe32 ) that even if Trask's decision becomes final, it does not end the June 2013 lawsuit filed by Ontario against Los Angeles over control of the airport.

The lawsuit claims Los Angeles has neglected and undermined airline service and promotion at the Ontario airport, causing billions of dollars in lost revenue.

No date has been set for trial.
