GRAYLAND, Washington — A 30-foot humpback whale washed ashore Sunday at Grayland on the Washington coast north of Westport.

Kathryn Myrsell with the Westport Aquarium tells KBKW (http://bit.ly/1pFhpLS) it appears to have been dead for at least a week and had lacerations on its tail.

Biologists from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and Cascadia Research performed a necropsy Monday to see what they could learn about the animal.
