NEW YORK — New York City police say a 32-year-old firing off a loaded revolver into the air has been arrested on a gun charge.
Police found the suspect at about 11 p.m. on Friday in a parking lot behind a public housing complex in Brooklyn after reports of shots being fired. They saw the suspect with a .32-caliber revolver fire shooting into the air, and told him to drop the gun. Police say he didn't, and they fired twice but the suspect was not hit. He instead fled on foot.
Police chased the suspect down, and also found the gun and his jacket. The man was arrested on charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. No bystanders were injured.
