FREDERICK, Maryland — Authorities in Frederick County have dismissed charges against a 13-year-old boy who was accused of a Fourth of July shooting that left another teen injured.
The Frederick News Post (http://bit.ly/1qhoMep ) reports Frederick County State's Attorney Charlie Smith says the charges were dismissed Tuesday after an investigation called two eyewitness accounts into question.
The 15-year-old girl injured in the shooting was walking on Sanger Avenue after watching fireworks when she was struck in the leg by a bullet.
The Associated Press does not identify juveniles who are accused of crimes.
Two adults charged in connection with the shooting have cases pending.
