DORMONT, Pennsylvania — A western Pennsylvania man has been charged with criminal homicide in the death of his wife.
Police in Allegheny County said emergency responders were sent to a Dormont residence just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday in response to a 911 call "about a domestic disturbance" and a "woman not breathing."
Authorities said the 57-year-old woman was found unresponsive and taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The county medical examiner's office identified her as Donna Angle.
Police said in a statement that investigators determined "that the victim's husband had caused her death," and 62-year-old David Angle was charged with homicide.
Court documents don't list an attorney who could offer comment on the charges and a message left at Angle's home wasn't immediately returned Sunday.
