MUSKEGON, Michigan — Another man has entered a plea in the slaying of one man and wounding of three others outside a western Michigan home where a party was being held.
The Muskegon Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/1xApdTd ) that 23-year-old Alexander Bumstead pleaded no contest Friday to involuntary manslaughter.
A no contest plea isn't an admission of guilt but is treated as such for sentencing. Bumstead will be sentenced Jan. 9, 2015.
Bumstead identified Deontay Demarco Black-Wickliffe at a February preliminary examination as the shooter after a December 2013 fight in Fruitland Township. Black-Wickliffe later pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and assault with intent to murder. He was sentenced to at least 30 years in prison.
Gary Lee Ogreen was fatally shot in the chest after asking Black-Wickliffe, Bumstead and their friends to leave.
