GREENVILLE, South Carolina — A Greenville man has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of a man at an apartment complex.

Multiple media outlets reported that 19-year-old Tarece Lamark Cooks was arrested Tuesday afternoon and was also charged with possession of a weapon during a crime. It was not clear if he has an attorney.

Greenville County sheriff's deputies were called to an apartment complex Monday night and found 20-year-old Dunta Marquis Barber of Greenville suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Barber was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Deputy Drew Pinciaro said there was a fight between Cooks and Barber and at least one shot was fired.
