RICHMOND, Massachusetts — A Richmond man who owned a Pittsfield painting company has been killed in a traffic crash less than a mile from his home.
State police say 50-year-old Michael Renzi was ejected from his pickup truck when it crashed at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Emergency personnel performed CPR on Renzi before taking him to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, where he was pronounced dead.
Pittsfield fire officials tell The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/15qgCZ7 ) that the pickup apparently rolled over before coming to rest upright. Renzi was found in the road.
Area roads were wet from a mix of snow and rain at the time of the crash, but state police say the cause remains under investigation.
