BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut — One person has died and two were injured following a shooting at a housing complex in the state's largest city.
Police say they responded Thursday to a report of shots fired in the area of the Charles F. Greene Homes high rise at around 6:45 p.m.
Officers encountered two victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Miguel Arguelles, 22, was transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center with wounds to his neck and shoulder but died from the injuries.
Another 22-year-old male, who police did not identify, suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach and remained in critical condition Friday morning.
A 21-year-old male, who police also did not identify, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was treated at the hospital.
Police say the shooting is the city's 16th homicide this year.
