LOS ANGELES — Police say someone opened fire on a charter party bus in South Los Angeles, seriously injuring three passengers and leaving the driver with cuts to his face from broken glass.
Police Sgt. Rudy Alaniz tells City News Service someone shot at the bus that had 40 people aboard at an intersection late Sunday night.
Alaniz says it is suspected gangs are involved in the shooting and investigators are struggling to find suspects with few witnesses cooperating.
He says police have not interviewed the driver because he was in the hospital being treated for cuts to his face and eyes with broken glass.
