Authorities: Man fatally stabbed woman he hired for sex during argument about money

PLYMOUTH, Massachusetts — A Massachusetts man authorities allege fatally stabbed a woman he hired for sex in a dispute over money has been held without bail.

Soi Ket Dang, of Halifax, was arraigned Wednesday on a murder charge in the death of 19-year-old Marissa Randall. His lawyer did not argue for bail.

Authorities say the 32-year-old Dang met the Revere woman through a dating app. Authorities say he took her to his home in Halifax on Monday and agreed to pay her around $350 for sex.

Prosecutors say Dang later said he should pay less and the two argued.

Prosecutors say Randall was stabbed several times. Her body was found wrapped in a blanket.

Dang is due back in court on Dec. 1.
