Metro: travelers to wait longer for weekend trains on 4 of 6 lines

WASHINGTON — Metro says travelers will wait longer for trains on four of its six rail lines this weekend.

Metro says trains on its orange, silver, blue and yellow lines will operate every 24 minutes. Red line trains will operate every eight to 16 minutes with additional trains between Dupont Circle and Rhode Island Avenue between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Metro says trains on the green line will operate at regular weekend intervals.
