ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating after a motorist was shot and killed, and then his body was dumped onto a street.

WSB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1HhEzzF) that police early Thursday morning were seeking leads in the overnight shooting along Garibaldi Street.

Police say that someone called 911 about a carjacking in the area. When officers arrived, they found a man's body in the street.

Atlanta police Lt. Charles Hampton said the man was thrown out of the car, and one of a group of suspects in the car fled on foot from the vehicle.
