MONTGOMERY, Alabama — An Alabama inmate serving a life sentence has been convicted of raping two women in 2008.

Attorney General Luther Strange said in a statement that Patrick O'Neal Warren pleaded guilty Tuesday to rape and attempted murder in attacks on two women in March and December of 2008.

Strange says Warren admitted to using a knife when he attacked the women in Jefferson County. Two life sentences have been added to the one Warren is currently serving.

Strange says Warren was sent to prison on charges of robbery in Calhoun County from 2006. Strange says Warren attacked an Anniston woman at knifepoint and stole her money and vehicle.
