JUNEAU, Alaska — Eaglecrest ski area in Juneau is suspending lift operations until it receives enough snow to open at least part of the upper mountain.
Eaglecrest said seasonal programs and classes have been postponed until more snow falls.
Director of Sales and Marketing Jeffra Clough told KTOO (http://bit.ly/1J1lMsA ) it was not an easy decision. But she says the season isn't over yet.
She says Eaglecrest will look at ways to add skiing time should more snow arrive, such as extending hours.
The ticket office and equipment repair shop still will be open Thursday through Monday.
