BURLINGTON, Vermont — A Vermont man who worked for the U.S. government in St. Albans has been sentenced to four years in prison on a child pornography charge after illegal images were found on his work computer.

Timothy Keevan of Swanton was charged last year in a single-count indictment with accessing images of child pornography with the intent to view them. He pleaded not guilty.

According to court records, the 49-year-old Keevan was an operations support technician with the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Service in St. Albans and he used a work-issued computer to access child pornography websites.

Prosecutors said Keevan, a former Little League coach, was on probation on a charge of sexually assaulting a player when he used the work computer with the intent to view the images.
