MANNING, North Dakota — The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified two men who were killed in a pickup truck rollover in the western North Dakota oil patch on Christmas.
The Patrol says the crash happened 4 miles southwest of Manning about 10 p.m. Thursday, when the pickup truck failed to negotiate a turn on a gravel road and rolled down a ravine, landing on its top.
The 23-year-old driver, Carl Jeffrey Faber, of Bozeman, Montana, was killed, along with a 36-year-old passenger, Van Dale Johnson, of Arvin, California. They died at the scene.
Two other passengers in the pickup, from California and Kansas, were taken to a Dickinson hospital with what the patrol says were minor injuries.
