RUTLAND, Vermont — Relatives of a Vermont woman who was kidnapped and murdered in 2000 say they remain on a mission to see her killer face the death penalty.
A U.S. District Court judge last month ordered a new trial for Donald Fell, saying one of the jurors did his own investigation during the 2005 trial. Fell was convicted of killing of 53-year-old Terry King, who was abducted as she arrived for work at a Rutland supermarket.
Karen Worcester, one of King's daughters, told the Burlington Free Press (http://bfpne.ws/1xTbp2T) that the family will sit through another trial if necessary. Another daughter, Lori Hibbard, said the family has no animosity toward the juror in question. They disagree with the judge's ruling and believe he should have handled the case in the first place.
