LEMONT, Illinois — The Illinois Tollway and District 15 of the Illinois State Police are planning a "Kids Identification and Safety Seat" event this week.

The "KISS" event will be at the 127th Street Walgreens in Lemont.

Authorities will conduct child safety-seat inspections and create children's ID cards inside the store.

Tollway Executive Director Kristi Lafleur says 90 percent of child safety seats inspected by state police are improperly installed — an increase over last year.

Specially trained professionals on Friday will take kids' photographs and fingerprints and gather vital information to include on personal ID cards.

There will be refreshments and giveaways for children. Additionally, participants will receive information about health care services at Walgreens, including flu shots, immunizations and school physicals.
