BOSTON — Officials overseeing the overhaul of the state's botched health care website say they're confident the site will be up and running by the start of the new open enrollment period next month.

Massachusetts Health Connector officials say anyone seeking subsidized or unsubsidized care will be able to obtain insurance through the website. They say they've been testing the system and plan to continue testing through the website's rollout.

Officials say they've also developed contingency plans just in case there are problems and have increased staffing at call centers to help with paper applications if needed.

The original cost of the website was estimated at $174 million.

That has jumped to $254 million with the added $80 million cost of fixing the website — $26 million of which will be picked up by the state.
