GRESHAM, Oregon — Gresham police have released the name of a man killed by gunfire during the weekend.
Capt. Claudio Grandjean says 27-year-old Dewayne Varnado of Portland was dead when officers arrived at the scene. Two other people were recovering from injuries at area hospitals.
Police were called to an apartment complex just before 6 p.m. Saturday on a report of multiple shots. Officers found Varnado in the lot and a second gunshot victim a short distance away. The third victim took herself to the hospital.
Detectives believe everyone involved in the shooting knew each other. There have been no arrests.
