FLAGSTAFF, Arizona — A Flagstaff man convicted in a series of sexual assaults has been sentenced to more than 113 years in prison.

A jury found 23-year-old Gregory Woody Jr. guilty of 11 counts involving sexual assault and abuse. The Arizona Daily Sun (http://bit.ly/1CSAgWX ) reports that Woody was sentenced Tuesday.

The sexual assaults stirred fear throughout downtown Flagstaff. Authorities say Woody raped, beat and choked two women he met last year, and that DNA linked him to the crimes.

He was convicted of five counts of sexual assault, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of sexual abuse.

He also was found guilty of aggravated assault involving a third woman.

Woody's attorney has said he plans to appeal the convictions.
