LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — Ladarius Skelton accounted for 285 yards and six touchdowns as Pine Bluff cruised to a 51-10 win over Benton in the Class 6A championship game.

It is Pine Bluff's first championship since 1995, the school's ninth overall.

Skelton, selected the game's most valuable player, had 166 yards and four touchdowns on 8-of-14 passing and 119 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 13 carries.

The Zebras (10-3) nearly had three 100-yard rushers, as Romar Reades had 106 yards and one touchdown on eight carries and Kentorius White had 96 yards on 14 carries.

Cason Maertens completed 23 of 41 passes for 224 yards and one touchdown for Benton (11-1-1), but he had a costly interception in the red zone early in the second quarter with the Panthers trailing 12-7.
