TRENTON, New Jersey — Federal prosecutors say a previously convicted sex offender has admitted uploading images and videos of child sexual abuse to an online file-sharing network.
Layne Bracht faces 10 to 20 years in state prison when he's sentenced March 13. The 32-year-old Highlands resident pleaded guilty Tuesday to possessing child pornography.
Bracht admitted uploading the images and videos into shared folders that others could access via a peer-to-peer network in October 2013.
FBI agents seized "digital evidence" when they executed a search warrant at his home in January. That included material involving prepubescent minors and sadistic or masochistic conduct, and three files that undercover law enforcement agents had downloaded from Bracht.
Bracht was charged with possessing child pornography in 2006 and later pleaded guilty. He received a 30-month sentence in April 2008.
