OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals has upheld the murder conviction and life in prison sentence of an Oklahoma City man.

The court on Friday rejected the appeals of Jeffrey Ramirez that hearsay evidence was improperly allowed during his trial, that he received ineffective counsel and that he was denied due process.

Ramirez was convicted in August 2013 of the July 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Homero Macias in south Oklahoma City.
