DAYTON, Ohio — The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and a jet team from France will perform at next year's annual Dayton air show.
Officials with the Vectren Dayton Air Show say the Thunderbirds will fly six F-16 Fighting Falcons fighter jets at the southwestern Ohio show to be held June 20 and June 21 at Dayton International Airport. The Breitling Jet Team from Dijon, France, also will perform at the show that typically draws thousands of fans.
A fiery crash claimed two performers in the 2013 show that was missing military participation. Federal budget cutbacks forced military acts to cancel that year.
Federal safely investigators have said pilot error was the probable cause of the crash that killed a wing walker and the pilot in front of thousands of horrified spectators.
