PHILADELPHIA — SEPTA says regional rail service from Trenton to Philadelphia has resumed after a train struck and killed a person in Bucks County.

The transit authority says Philadelphia-bound trains were temporarily halted as police investigated the incident Tuesday morning between Bristol and Croydon stations.

A spokesman says train No. 9730 struck the person around 9:15 a.m. shortly after leaving Bristol en route to the authority's Center City commuter stations and its Temple University stop.

He says the 96 passengers aboard were transferred to another train.
